Counseling

Our mission is to encourage, guide and support students in pursuit of their academic, personal, and career goals by providing accurate information and personalized service in an accessible and welcoming environment.

We are here to support your education and help you plan for a successful future. Please stop by if you are in need of career planning assistance, goal setting, academic planning and/or coping with personal problems.

The Counseling Center is located in the Administration Building, Room 126. Counselors are generally available from 8 a.m. to 7 p.m. Monday through Thursday and from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. on Friday.

CURRENT AND RETURNING STUDENTS

To schedule a counseling appointment, first determine if you need a half hour or an hour appointment.  You will need an hour appointment if 1) you have transcripts from another college and need an evaluated educational plan; or 2) you need career or personal counseling services.  For these hour long appointments, please call (530) 242-7724.

All other academic counseling appointments for current and returning students are a half hour long and may be scheduled by selecting the following link:  CURRENT STUDENTS COUNSELING APPOINTMENTS.

NEW STUDENTS

Please call (530) 242-7751 to schedule an orientation appointment.  Counselors will be available at the orientation to help you select your first semester classes.

After you have started your first semester, you may use the above link to schedule a counseling appointment for an educational plan.
